Follow through on what you start.

A Pomodoro timer for iPhone, with no account and no ads. You start a focus, the break comes on its own, and you move forward at your own pace.

How it works
Calm Pomodoro’s timer during a focus.
The app’s timer during a focus, then its break, sped up.

A focus, then a real break.

You know that moment when the chapter sits open, waiting, while your day scatters. The first minute is often the heaviest: put your phone down beside you and start a focus.

  1. The full timer: 25 minutes remaining.

The whole focus ahead of you

Note what you want to work on, if you like, then tap Start.

  2. The same timer at two thirds: 16 minutes and 40 seconds remaining.

    Time at a glance

The water level shows the time remaining, even from a distance, without reading the numbers.

  3. The same timer almost empty: 3 minutes and 20 seconds remaining.

    Almost time for a break

When it ends, an alert lets you know if you’ve allowed it, and the break starts on its own. The next focus is waiting for you.

You choose the rhythm, and a longer break comes after four focus sessions.

One screen, and nothing else around it.

Your intention at the top, the time in the middle, Pause just below. Nothing blinks or tugs at you, and your attention stays on what you’re doing.

Calm Pomodoro’s Timer screen during a focus: the intention “Chapter three, first draft”, Focus 2 of 4, 18 minutes and 35 seconds remaining, and the Pause button.

A few choices, without leaving your focus.

You adjust along the way, and your momentum stays intact: the current focus carries on, without starting over.

An intention, if you like

Write what you’re working on: your intention stays in place for the next focus sessions, and your recent ones are a tap away.

The current intention, “Chapter three, first draft”, checked, then Recent: “Review the biology lesson” and “Prepare for Monday’s meeting”.

Three rhythms

Pomodoro, 52 / 17 or Deep work, depending on what your day calls for. Chosen during a focus, the new rhythm waits for the next one.

The timer’s Rhythm cards: Pomodoro, 25 min of focus and 5 min of break, selected; 52 / 17; Deep work, 90 min of focus and 20 min of break.

Five colors

Blue-gray, sage, lavender, powder pink or terracotta, in light or dark mode, or matching your iPhone.

  • Blue-gray
  • Sage
  • Lavender
  • Powder pink
  • Terracotta

A sound at the end

Droplet, Soft bell, Chime or Wood note: the sound you choose comes with the end alert.

The End sound list: Droplet, Soft bell, selected, Chime, Wood note and No sound.

The time, even with your phone locked

The time remaining appears on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and in StandBy, depending on your iPhone and its iOS version.

Questions before launch

When is it coming out?

Soon, on the App Store, with no date announced yet. Leave your email address at the bottom of the page: you’ll get a single message, on launch day.

How is it different from the iPhone’s timer?

The iPhone’s timer counts down a single duration, then rings. Calm Pomodoro moves from focus to break, counts your focus sessions up to the long break and keeps your intention in view.

Which iPhones does it work on?

The required iOS version will be listed on the App Store page at launch. Showing the time on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island also depends on the model.

Is it available on Android?

No. Calm Pomodoro is designed for iPhone, and no Android version has been announced.

What happens to my data?

It stays on your iPhone: there’s no account, and the app sends nothing. Your phone’s backup, in iCloud or on your computer, may keep a copy.

Can it block other apps?

No, Calm Pomodoro doesn’t block anything. The app helps you stay with a focus, and your iPhone’s Focus mode can silence other notifications, if you allow Calm Pomodoro in it.

How much does it cost?

Everything will be shown at launch, on its App Store page.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The timer and its sounds are built into the app: everything works without a network, on a plane or at the back of a library.

What languages is it in?

French, English, Japanese, Korean and Thai. The app follows your iPhone’s language, and you can choose another one in Settings.

Who makes Calm Pomodoro?

An independent app, designed by one person.

Your next focus is waiting.
